About Us
Creativity COMMONS Collective & Press is involved in publishing and exhibition projects, community activism, campaigns against gate-keeping and censorship, and transnational networking and collaborations connected to ethical re/orientings and re/memberings of creative and curatorial practice.
The idea driving the press and collective is simple-to locate, reclaim, and activate creativity as a planetary commons that is profoundly connected to diverse struggles for justice. The press and collective engage with and cultivate creativity as a daily human and non-human site of sustenance, responsibility, connectedness, criticality, knowledge, and research.
We consider the collective nature of our work to not solely rest in our current or future dialogues and collaborations with individuals, institutions, communities, and social movements. It is equally important for us to consider and inhabit a collective in an alternate manner-as a conscious acknowledgement of the co-creation of our journeys, the connectedness and sacredness of all life, the responsibility to past, current, and future generations, and the accountability of our actions and practices on the planet at large.
We welcome contact, dialogue, and collaboration.
